Speaking of farmers...



I felt since I posted about my vacation, and a farmer's breakfast, it was only appropriate that I show some images of my personal garden.

The first one below is the before picture, what the garden looked like before I went on vacation. The next one is the after. Woahh baby!

I am really proud of myself for what I've been able to do with super sandy soil, and little to no resources. I dedicate my garden to Lauren. She taught me everything I know, and embodies what every little girl wants to be when she grows up.

This spring/summer we have several varieties of lettuce, corn, poppies, hops, artichokes, onions, tomatoes, eggplant, basil, mint, and oregano in our itty bitty yard. My cukes failed by way of a skunk. Pissed? Yes, but not even a skunk can keep me from making pickles.

I am such a proud mother.
