This will not be a lesson on how to cook bacon, and eggs. (If you want one, just ask.) I just really wanted to post this picture because I think it is beautiful. This photo was taken on a day that I made James a hearty breakfast so he would have enough energy to brew a whit beer accented with orange zest, and nasturtiums. By now it has fermented, and been bottled. We've drank some too. It is awesome, especially when consumed outside on these perfect sunny San Francisco days we've been having lately.
What you see in the above photo is two sunny side up eggs over greens with bacon, and home fries. Something I like to refer to as a farmer's breakfast. I like to cook the egg so that the yolk is still runny. That way you can scoop it up with your greens, and potatoes. The bacon is the heady kind from the local store in our neighborhood, cooked over medium heat until crispy. The home fries are just cubed potatoes with sliced onions, and minced garlic cooked over low/med heat with about 1 tbsp. olive oil until the onions are caramelized, and potatoes are soft. I like to add salt, pepper, maybe some rosemary and dried oregano to my potatoes. Just think of your favorite herbs and seasonings, and I bet you can make them taste great.
Easy, fast, and a great way to start the day.

Beautiful photo! I'm glad you're back and rejuvenated. :)
